- Can the meter be read on a weekend or holiday?
- We currently do not read meters on weekends or holidays. We are able to read meters Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Can I have the meter read at a specific time of day?
- At this time, we read the meter on the date requested and are not specific to a time of day.
- How much notice is required to obtain a reading?
- A 24-hour notice is required. If you need to have the reading taken on a Monday, please notify us by the preceding Friday.
- Do I need to be home at the time of a reading?
- The only time you need to be available is if we need to gain access to an inside meter or if we need access to a gated or locked area. In most cases, the meters are located on the outside of the building where there is access.
- Is there a cost associated with opening a new account?
- Yes. There is a small fee for an employee to read the meter and turn on the gas when establishing service. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Can I open a new account, even though I have a previous unpaid balance?
- A new account may be opened if you are able to pay your unpaid balance, or if a payment plan is arranged.
- Can I sign up for the Budget Billing Plan at the time that I request a new account?
- Yes, in most cases. We will review the last 12 months of actual usage and provide you with a quote for your monthly average. If you are moving to a recently built home, we will ask you several questions about the home to obtain an appropriate usage estimate.
- Can I receive my bill online?
- Yes. The online billing option is gaining in popularity. This option is referred to as e-Bill Paperless Billing. We have contracted with Check-Free, an Internet leader in online billing, to provide this customer service.
