Who is responsible for the maintenance and repair of gas piping from the meter to the appliances inside the home?
While Peoples Gas always responds to gas emergencies, any problem with piping from the meter to the appliances inside the house must be repaired at the homeowner's expense.

If you do not have Pipeline Protection Program and a gas leak is detected inside your home, we will make your home safe by completing the repairs at the standard hourly rates or turn off the gas so you can arrange for the repair by a private contractor.
